This is a fictional article for an update experiment.

While playing an old exploration game, I kept getting lost in passages that looked alike. I thought I was returning to a familiar turn, but ended up in a different room. I put a sheet of paper on the desk and decided to draw a simple map.

I used squares for rooms and lines for the routes between them. It did not need to look neat, so I also marked interesting doors with small circles. Compared with watching only the screen, it was easier to see which paths I had not explored. Even dead ends became useful marks on the map.

After a while, the lines reached the edge of the paper. I had not made much progress, but keeping a record of my own exploration was enjoyable. I stopped with the map beside the controller. Next time, I want to investigate one of the circled doors.
